COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Why are game studios so avoidant of open and transparent communication with their players?
Let’s change it.

Why do game studios ignore legitimate concerns from their players?
Let’s change it.

Why isn’t player feedback incorporated into the game development process?
Let’s change it.

Here at Fortis, there are many things we want to change about the game industry. The focus of Fortis’ Community Development Team is to change how game studios interact (or don’t interact) with their community. Players are quite literally the lifeline of a game, and yet their voices go unheard in the spaces where they really matter. One of the biggest mistakes a game studio can make is assuming they fully understand the needs and wants of their player base.

Our job is to represent the player as we take a seat at the game development table by surfacing community insights and player feedback to our game teams. We’re elevating our players as stakeholders in game development decisions. Community-led development isn’t a new concept, but it’s still a fairly unexplored area in the industry - and we want to take it to the next level.

If that’s you, sign up and give us a chance to show you the value of stronger connections between players and a game studio.
