Twilight Towers is shutting down
Hello Lightkeepers,
We have some difficult news to share: we've made the decision to shut down Twilight Towers. The game will remain playable until the servers go offline on Monday, November 16, 2026. We know this is disappointing, especially for those of you who have invested your time, energy, and money into the game, so we want to be open with you about why this is happening.
Why we're making this decision
Over the past several months, our team has worked hard to improve Twilight Towers: introducing new features, redesigning major systems, and trying different approaches to make the game more engaging. We asked you to endure a lot along the way, including progress resets and map changes. Your willingness to keep coming back and to share your feedback meant a great deal to us.
Ultimately, though, keeping a live game running takes ongoing investment in development, content, servers, and player support, and despite our best efforts, we just weren't seeing strong enough player retention to make the game sustainable.
This is not a reflection of the players who supported us. We're grateful for the community that grew around this game; the responsibility for this outcome is ours.
What happens and when
● Today, Wednesday, November 4: Twilight Towers is being removed from the app stores, and in-app purchases are now disabled. If you already have the game installed, you can keep playing as usual.
● Monday, November 16th: The servers will go offline, and Twilight Towers will no longer be playable.
Making the most of the time we have left
We want to do right by everyone who has supported Twilight Towers. Here's what we have planned:
● A parting gift: Starting today, every player will find a stack of Gems, Automators, and free energy in their inbox. Open the chests you've been saving, finish the kingdom you've been building, and see how far you can push those waves.
● Purchases and refunds: We know many of you supported Twilight Towers with purchases, and we understand if you'd like to request a refund now that the game is closing. Refunds aren't usually offered when a game is retired, but we're grateful for the time and support you've given us. To request a refund on recent purchases, please go through the store where you made your purchase: the Apple App Store or Google Play. Some parts of the refund process are outside our control, but we'll do everything we can on our end to support your request.
● Support: Our in-game help center stays available until the servers go offline on November 16th. After that, we plan to keep our Support team reachable through November 30th at support@fortisgames.com or on our website, https://fortisgames.helpshift.com/hc/en/3-twilight-towers/, even though you will no longer be able to access the game.
● Our Discord stays open: Come share your favorite moments, ask questions, or just hang out. The team will be there too. We'll eventually close the Twilight Towers channels, but not right away.
Thank you
We know shutting down a game is more than a business decision. For many of you, Twilight Towers has been part of your daily routine and something you've put real time into building. So to everyone who played, thank you: our day-one players who've been with us since the earliest versions, everyone who stuck it out through the resets, our guilds and top competitors who pushed every wave further than we thought possible, our Discord regulars and moderators who built a community beyond the game itself, everyone who supported the game with a purchase, and the quieter players who logged in every day to harvest, merge, and defend their towers.
We saw all of you, and we're grateful. It's been an honor to share Twilight Towers with you.
